Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth female threaded pot magnet has a diameter of 75mm, a total height of 34mm and a thickness of 18mm. It has a 10mm female thread. This female threaded magnet has a pull force of 164kg and a weight of 552 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number AMFYPD75.

Uses for our rare earth female thread pot magnets:

These Neodymium Pot magnets have a Female Thread for convenient attachment with a bolt. The steel capping protects the magnet from damage while also deflecting the magnetic force to the base, giving it excellent holding capability and increased attractive power. Non-metallic objects can be fitted with these magnets and then attached to metal surfaces like pallet racking, machinery or vehicles for example. In other applications, a threaded rod can be inserted to display advertising material or signage which is attached magnetically and easily removed or relocated. Unlike traditional methods of attachment, magnetic bonding is non-penetrative and does not require tools or skills to be implemented.

Packaging

Product is fantastic however the way the items are packaged needs improvement. To have a hundred extremely strong neodymium magnets combined in a cardboard box with plastic wrap that then requires separating is not an enjoyable experience!

AMF Magnets reply: Hi Kerry, thank you for your review and your feedback about the packaging. We try to be responsible with the amount of plastic we use with each order by keeping it to a minimum, this means only separating magnets with high pull forces. Magnets which have been packed together should be easily separated using the technique depicted on the included magnet safety flyer.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
