Ferrite Block Magnets

The range of Ferrite Block Magnets at AMF Magnets are available in many different sizes, thicknesses, and levels of magnetic force. Also known as ceramic magnets, ferrite magnets have an incredible resistance to extreme heat, able to maintain their magnetic strength in temperatures of up to 250 degrees Celsius! In addition to this, they are also made from incredibly cost effective materials and are cheap to produce, making them one of the most popular magnets commercially available. The rectangular shape of these ferrite block magnets come in handy in many situations and they are known to be incredibly versatile, able to be applied in many circumstances. Often used in sweeping and separation applications, they can also be used within the mechanisms of cars, and small machines such as DC motors. For those with a creative flare, these block magnets are great for adding a magnetic aspect to your creation, for example; simply attach a small ferrite block magnet to the back of a homemade birthday card or household ornament and you can now seamlessly attach it to your fridge or any magnetic surface. The perfect feature for these magnetic blocks is that while they maintain a permanent, reliable and sustainable magnetic pull, they are not like Neodymium Magnets in the sense that they are too strong – you can easily remove a Ferrite magnet from the fridge and they do not pose as hazardous items. Please note that no magnets are suitable for young children to play with, no magnets should be regarded as toys.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
