AMF Magnets have a small range of electromagnets that use DC power. When electricity flows through a conductor an electromagnet is created with the magnetic field around the conductor. Electromagnets are built by wrapping many coils of wire around a ferromagnetic core. AMF Magnetics range of electromagnets provide an efficient solution for handling and holding metal objects. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description.
