Ferrite Holding Pot Magnets

Ferrite Pot Magnets are an excellent alternative to holding an object on a horizontal or vertical surface without creating a permanent fixture. The design of the Ferrite Pot Magnet is such that it enhances the natural strength of the magnet by installing a mild steel casing around one side of the disc as well as the edges. Between the magnet and the steel is a very thin layer of plastic, which allows the magnetic field from the suppressed side of the magnet to come through to the exposed side, almost doubling the magnetic strength. Ferrite magnets inherently have long lives as they do not require any maintenance or cleaning and they are resistant to high temperatures. They are ideal for holding objects on walls. The magnet can be fitted to surfaces using the central attachment hole making this type of magnetic attachment suitable for endless applications.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
