100kg - 200kg

This category groups together all the magnets in our range with a pull force of between 100 and 200 kilograms. These are incredibly powerful magnets and should only be handled by experienced professionals. There are a number of different shapes available in this range. In the singular Rare Earth magnets you will find magnetic Blocks, Disc magnets and one magnetic cylinder. A number of pot magnets fall into this strength category.

Magnetic Holding Pots

Pot magnets have an enhanced magnetic strength compared to a stand alone magnet of the same dimensions. This is due to the effect of the steel casing that houses the magnet. When the magnet is encased by steel in this way it bends the magnetic field. Both magnetic poles are forced to the front face of the magnet. These heavy-duty magnets are able to provide a durable and sustained magnetic hold on ferrous surfaces.

The steel cup of the Holding Pot Magnet also protects the brittle Neodymium magnet inside. Rare Earth magnets are very hard and brittle in nature. They are prone to shattering or chipping when impacted. This is of particular concern when the magnet is as powerful as the magnets in this category. Their strength makes them difficult to control and this can lead the magnet shattering on impact if it is allowed to magnetically engage with force.

Neodymium magnets

Individual magnets such as the powerful magnets in this 100-200kg category are used in industrial settings. They are often incorporated into systems for the purposes of separation and decontamination. Rare Earth magnets of such a significant strength have less versatility of use. However magnets such as these do play a key role in many mining and other industrial scale operations. There are several different shapes available including Block magnets, Magnetic Discs and Cylinder magnets in this category.

Strong magnets of this nature must only be used by experienced handlers. They are not appropriate for the home user. It is important that heavy duty magnets are handled with extreme care. The powerful magnets in this range are capable of causing serious injury if not handled correctly.

Our range of magnetic products

In addition to the heavy-duty magnets in this category, we stock a wide variety of other magnetic products. Whether you are a home user or an experienced engineer, you will find a magnetic product in our range for you. Magnetic tool holders are a fantastic addition to any workplace. They provide a safe and convenient way to store tools and equipment. Available in a number of different sizes and finishes, there is sure to be one that suits your space.

Similar to the magnetic tool holders are our Magnetic Knife Holders. These have become increasingly popular as our understanding of hygienic practices improves. Professional kitchens have long since abandoned storing knives in drawers or knife blocks as these are far less hygienic.

Storing knives magnetically is also great for reducing the risk to users of accidentally cutting themselves or damaging the knife blade. It is certainly far more efficient to have knives stored in easy eyesight and reach on a magnetic knife block.

There are many more fantastic products in our range. Why not take a look through our range and feel free to get in touch with our friendly sales team.

FAQ

Best uses for magnets with 100kg-200kg pull force?
Rare Earth magnets and Neodymium Pot magnets of this strength are only suited to experienced users. They are heavy-duty magnets suited to industrial settings.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
