AMF supplies high quality, strong Neodymium Magnets with Countersunk Mounting Holes. These come in a variety of shapes, sizes and strengths with different pull forces to suit your specific needs. Our wide range of mounting/holding magnets includes pot-style, ring and flat rectangular shapes, all with a countersunk hole. The hole allows the magnet to be attached to virtually any surface, even non-metallic material. Holding Pot Countersunk magnets are used in a range of applications that incorporate magnetic attraction into everyday operation. Countersunk magnets enable non-magnetic material to attach to metal surfaces including plastic, timber, glass, and ceramic surfaces. These strong magnets can be rebated into holes and secured with a flat-head screw. Combined with a metal striker they make ideal closure mechanisms for cupboards, window shutters or doors. All countersunk magnets, unless stated otherwise, have a south pole at the countersunk face and do not attract to each other. If you require a north-south matched pair of countersunk mounting magnets see products AMFYPA16N/S, AMFYPA20N/S or AMFYPA32N/S Over tightening of attachment screws can crack, break or damage the magnet.
The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface
(of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to
the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet.
