Neodymium (Rare Earth) Magnets

Neodymium (or Rare Earth) magnets are the most powerful Permanent Magnets commercially available due to their powerful magnetic field and their great strength and coercivity. They offer a very impressive size to strength ratio – even the tiniest Neodymium magnet can hold an extraordinary amount of weight. These Rare Earth magnets are approximately 7 times stronger than our Ceramic Magnets and they are available in numerous sizes, shapes, dimensions and grades.

Neodymium Magnets are the strongest magnets available!

These permanent magnets are often used in many industrial applications where a very strong magnet is required.  Some applications for our Neodymium Magnets are: metal separation, mining, construction, designing, printing, generators, holding and other industrial purposes. This type of permanent magnet has several protective coatings such as Nickel, Phosphorous or Zinc .

The Neodymium magnets that we have for sale have good temperature stability however, when subjected to temperatures over 80 degrees Celsius they will begin to lose their magnetic abilities. Therefore, if you’re looking for magnets that can resist high temperatures, a more suitable option may be Ferrite Magnets or Samarium Cobalt.

Neodymium Rare Earth Magnets properties:

Produced by the powder metallurgical method. Chemical composition of Nd2Fe14B. Very brittle and hard. Least corrosion resistance of all commercial magnets. High resistance to magnetic demagnetization. Excellent cost to performance ratio. Reasonable temperature stability. Not suitable for high-temperature applications.

Rare Earth block magnets (Neodymium) are among the most powerful permanent magnets. Our range is suited to a wide range of applications, including magnetic separators in the food industry, flow control systems and water conditioning to name just a few.

Rare Earth disc magnets, also known as neodymium discs, are the perfect combination of small size and maximum power. They are used in a wide variety of applications, such as school science experiments, jewelry-making, packaging, book-binding, POS displays and engineering.

Pot Magnets

Rare Earth holding pot magnets (Neodymium) are high strength rare earth magnets in a mild steel cap for extra protection against chipping or cracking. Due to the protective cover, they are a single sided magnet which allows for a non-destructive and easy solution for attaching and suspending objects .

Rare Earth Ring Magnets (Neodymium) are often used in joinery and shop-fitting. Although not as strong as Neodymium discs, the hole in center of the ring magnet ensures great versatility.

Self-Adhesive Neodymium Magnets are now available online. Our Self-Adhesive Magnets provide great magnetic strength combined with an easy to use 3M adhesive strip on the back to fix the magnet to a variety of surfaces.

Rare Earth cylinder magnets, also called neodymium cylinder magnets, are ideal for applications such as acrylic signage, picture frames, joinery.

Spherical magnets have a north and a south pole and are attracted to iron, cobalt, nickel and other ferromagnetic materials, as well as other magnets. Their spherical shape enables them to be used for special uses that other magnets aren't designed for.

Rare Earth Countersunk magnets are designed for screws to be used for permanent positioning, leaving the screw head flush with the magnet. They're a popular with carpenters, sheet metal fabricators, aluminium and glazing supplies, and fixture supply outlets.
