Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth threaded hook pot magnet has a pull force of 164kg and a weight of 560 grams. It has a diameter of 75mm, a total height of 98mm and a magnet housing thickness of 18mm and an M10 thread with a 7mm hook. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number AMFYPE75.

Uses for our rare earth threaded hook pot magnets:

Many people find the non-invasive and easy to remove attachment qualities of magnets their most appealing and useful attribute. When the magnetic suspension or attachment requirement is not permanent and the requirement progresses with work to another location, magnets can be removed and reassigned without the structural detriment or degradation to surfaces that is often associated with more commonly used fastening products, like screws for instance.

This over-sized Hook magnet contains a steel-capped Neodymium Disc and is designed for holding and suspending items from steel surfaces. The hook attachment makes it fast and easy to hang and remove suspended items that would otherwise need to be attached with screws or ties or inconveniently located on the ground. Keeping tools, lighting, power supplies and other work-related material suspended is more convenient, more efficient and has proven employee safety benefits. Cables, hoses, piping, chains and ropes can be suspended from steel structures magnetically and easily removed when needed. Large magnetic hooks like this one are found on construction and mine sites, agricultural enterprises and many other large-scale commercial ventures.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
