Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth threaded hook pot magnet has a pull force of 22kg and a weight of 37grams. It has a diameter of 25mm, a total height of 42mm and a magnet housing thickness of 8mm. This neodymium pot magnet has an M5 thread with a 7mm hook. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number AMFYPE25.

Uses for our rare earth threaded hook pot magnets:

Pot magnets are designed for high strength holding purposes on both vertical and horizontal metallic surfaces. The magnet is capped with a metal casing that deflects more magnetic field to the base and subsequently strengthens the magnet's holding power. Some of these Pot-type magnets can be fitted with a Threaded Hook attachment. AMF customers find countless uses for these handy magnetic hanging tools in both commercial and domestic situations. Hooks are ideal for hanging everything from tools to personal protective equipment (PPE) and all the associated safety items including gloves, helmets, eyewear, earplugs and breathing apparatus. Neodymium Hook magnets are easy to remove and relocate, making them ideal for use in industries where steel structures are commonplace and where locations change regularly such as construction zones and civil worksites. Garages, workshops, steel shedding on farms, bases and airfields are other locations that are ideally suited to the convenience and practicality of these strong Neodymium Hook magnets. AMF has various sizes of magnets available with differing holding abilities.

Pot luck for intended use.

Whilst not using for initial purpose as some tweeking will be required, I have however found using them in various ways very useful.

My initial goal was to hang a carbon fibre stand up paddle board from a roof (weighs about 8kgs), still figuring it out.

Brilliant magnetic hooks

Love these hooks. Perfect for using to hang things to the walls on a cruise ship as well as any other metallic surfaces. Really strong so takes a good weight.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
