Rare Earth Fixing Plate Magnets

These Neodymium Fixing Plate Pot Magnets are available in various diameters, pull force and thread sizes. Similar in appearance to other Neodymium Pot Magnets like Holding Magnets, these strong magnets are suited to industrial applications due to their high strength and large surface area. They use strong permanent Rare Earth Magnets for strength and a stainless steel cover for superior corrosion resistance. Fixing Plate Neodymium Pot Magnets are most commonly used during the pouring of prefabricated concrete slabs. Magnetic Fixing Plates can be used to attach any threaded item to steel formwork allowing them to be precisely embedded inside the slab. A lifting anchor can be threaded onto the Fixing Magnet then attached to the steel formwork or steel mould. This allows secure and accurate positioning of the anchor socket while the concrete is poured and eliminated the need for nails. Removal of the Magnet Plate is a quick and simple process. When the concrete has set and the steel formwork removed, use the hexagonal nut to release the magnet from the anchor socket and the pre-cast slab.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
