This north and south pair of rare earth countersunk pot magnet have a diameter of 20mm, a countersunk hole diameter of 4.5mm and a thickness of 7mm. It has a pull force of 6kg and a weight of 13 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number AMFYPA20NS.
Our 20mm rare earth pot magnet is ideal for keeping gates open or closed and attaching different objects to any surface. This rare earth pot magnet is a high strength magnet in a nickel coated casing.
This strong Neodymium Matched Pair Magnets are manufactured with corresponding North and South faces so they attract or pull together. They can be recessed and screwed in place on opposing surfaces and for this reason are commonly used as closure systems for doors, drawers and cabinets. Using Paired North/South magnets means a metallic surface is no longer required. Due to their ability to create a magnetic bond to each other by having factory oriented opposing poles, this pair of North and South Neodymium Pot magnets can be used in a range of commercial and industrial situations where a strong magnetic hold is desired but metallic material is absent. Countersinking the attachment screw assures full surface contact and secure hold between these paired items.

These magnets are amazing!!!
They are powerful and I am using them for locating and holding two columns together. The North South polarising is great for setting the items to only lock in when aligned correctly.
These have proved great for our French doors in our home. They are not visible but keep doors closed. Such a great idea
I used three pairs of these very strong magnets to hold the dust extractor shoe on the spindle of my CNC router and they work very well holding the shoe firmly in place yet still easy to remove the shoe so the cutting tools can be changed and set up. I have bought from this company before and have always been satisfied.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description.
