Ferrite magnets to close a Westinghouse oven door

Would magnets work to close a Westinghouse oven door that is not closing at the top and letting out heat?

Rare earth magnets start losing their magnetism after prolonged exposure to heat above 80 degrees. You require special custom rare earth magnets to be unaffected at higher temperature. These normally are custom ordered and will cost a lot more as they would also normally be air freighted.

Most people use Ferrite Block Magnets to keep an oven door shut. As oven doors have different designs and sizes you are best to look at our Ferrite Magnets Range and buy the sizes you think will work and test them. The air gap between the door and the side of the oven where I’m assuming you will put the magnet will affect the strength depending on the distance apart.
