This SmCo cylinder magnet has a diameter of 4mm and a height of 5mm and is identified by the AMF Part Number 39080.
Uses for our Samarium Cobalt Cylinder Magnets:
These magnets have a natural resistance to corrosion and the ability to remain functional at very high temperature. They do not require a protective coating and so when a small magnet is required, such as in small electric motors or actuators, they can provide full magnetic power without the impedance of a coating material. Although not as powerful as Neodymium material, Samarium Cobalt alloy is very stable in varying atmospheric conditions and does not degrade physically. This leads to their use in hi-performance devices and equipment like sensors, gauges and military-grade instrumentation.
Also used in the Film industry and by specialist engineering companies.
