These super powerful Rubber Handle Magnets can be used to lift heavy metal objects (up to 45kg against 10mm mild steel) such as shelving, beams and doors. Remove nails, screws and other iron objects from degreasing and paint tanks. Also clean up scattered ferrous metal objects including screws, nuts and bolts. Steel handle magnets feature heavy duty welded construction and are painted red. This product has ergonomic handle and plastic body and is identified by AMF Magnets part number PMLH-45.
The ergonomic design of these Handle Magnets lends itself to lifting tasks involving metal sheeting and shelving or for metal separation and decontamination. Maintenance Technicians can detect, attract, and identify metal fragments and replace bearings, spring washers, shims, pins, rivets, screws, nuts or bolts and commence preventative maintenance to vital equipment. They can also be used by fabricators and machining shops to remove Foreign Object Debris (FOD) or swarf material like metal filings created during manufacturing processes. Hobbyists and Artist can collect surplus staples, pins or screws and keep their workplace tidy.

I was expecting it to be stronger. I think my disappointment is more to do with my not understanding the lifting scale than any failing of the tool. I retrofit insulation in sheds and hoped these would hold it in place until it could. Be fastened. I would love to see the same tool about 400mm long.
Bought this product to use in my knife making work. Holds my blades brilliantly when using with the belt grinder. Great product. Would recommend.
Unfortunately the expectation of the power of this handy 'rubber handled magnet' to demagnetised old VHS video tapes was not strong enough to erase the contents. Which a pity as it is a very ergonomic unit to hold and use.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description.
