Neodymium Threaded Pot Magnet – D36mm x 8mm | NiCuNi Coated Housing with Black Epoxy Coated Internal Magnet

This premium Neodymium Threaded Pot Magnet combines a durable NiCuNi coated steel housing with a Black Epoxy coated internal rare earth magnet, delivering powerful magnetic performance with enhanced protection against wear and corrosion. Measuring 36mm in diameter with a slim 8mm total height, this compact external threaded pot magnet is ideal for industrial, workshop, engineering, and commercial mounting applications where a low-profile yet high-strength magnetic solution is required.

Designed with a strong neodymium magnet encased inside a protective steel pot housing, this threaded mounting magnet provides an impressive 34kg pull force while weighing only 56 grams. The polished NiCuNi housing offers a clean metallic appearance and added durability, while the Black Epoxy coated internal magnet helps improve resistance to moisture and environmental exposure.

For easy installation and removal, the pot housing features x4 grooves around the perimeter, allowing the magnet to be tightened or removed using a standard flat-head screwdriver — perfect for applications where accessibility and secure mounting are important.

Identified by AMF Magnetics part number AMFYPG36N, this threaded pot magnet is suitable for magnetic holding systems, displays, machinery, cabinetry, automation, fabrication, retail fixtures, and heavy-duty workshop use.

Important Information

Pull force ratings are based on ideal conditions using direct contact with a thick, clean mild steel surface. Actual holding strength may vary depending on surface material, thickness, coatings, and direction of force. Neodymium magnets are brittle and should be handled carefully to avoid chipping, cracking, or sudden impact with nearby steel surfaces.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
