Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth ring magnet has an outside diameter of 12.7mm, a countersunk hole with an inside diameter of 3.12mm  and a thickness of 4mm. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 23011.

Uses for our Rare Earth ring magnets:

Manufacturers use Neodymium Ring magnets in processing plants that produce metal items or items that have metal components. Ring magnets are used to hold, separate, deflect and attract metallic material that passes within its field range during the production process. Ring magnets can be secured in position over raised lugs or by sliding them onto pins or shafts and then used to remove metal contaminants or buffer and repel metal products to prevent machinery damage or jamming. These Rings have a countersunk hole that allows them to be attached with a flat-head screw to timber or plastic surfaces and are N42 Grade which provides stronger holding ability than standard grade rings. Rings have advantages that are not inherent to Disc or Block magnets. Ring magnets can be attached to any material using wire, cable, tape or even string, using the void as an attachment point. Stitched or sewn into garments, Ring magnets make covers or blankets easy to apply or remove and can be attached permanently or removed as required. Ring magnets are unique in this way and can be very practical items to keep around the home or office or remote locations where tools are not always available.

drawer handle

I used a magnet mounted in a wooden handle to pull out small drawers that have no knob due to lack of space. Insert a steel washer into the face of the drawer and use the magnet to pull it out.
