Unlike the majority of super strong rare earth Disc magnets that are Axially magnetised through the flat, round typical Pole surfaces, this Neodymium magnet has a Diametrical direction of magnetisation. This means the North and South poles flow across the diameter which lies between the thin, curved perimeter surface. These atypical, Diametrically magnetised products are not a practical choice for everyday use and are mostly selected for use in unique scientific or educational applications or for use in specialised consumer products.
