Magnetic Product Description:

This neodymium magnetic disc has a diameter of 6mm and a height of 1.5mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 3242 Gauss and a pull force of 548g. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number D-D6H1.5-N50.

Uses for our Rare Earth disc magnets:

Magnets like these are ideally used for applications where magnetic strength is important but surface area is restricted. The reduced pole surfaces footprint is boosted in magnetic strength by the thickness of the magnet which reaches 1/3rd its diameter and pull force is further enhanced by the N42 Grade magnetic material it is made of. The dimensions of this magnet allow it to be recessed into wood or plastic to a depth of 5mm and secured with glue. They are commonly used in Metal separation and decontamination, water conditioning, metal detectors, tool and knife holders, wall stud and noggin locators, magnetic healing therapy, magnetic folder closures and cabinetry.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

Extraordinary power!

I ordered these tiny magnets to put in my Swiss Army knife after watching the Victorinox guru, Felix Immler, on YouTube. They fit in various tools on the SAK & can be very useful & amazingly powerful!

I would like to see this firm put out a little bag of assorted sizes of magnets for ordinary folk like me who use them on their fridges, as pin holders & picker-ups.

The amount of packaging around these tiny magnets was extraordinary, I suppose because they are SO powerful they could cause damage to equipment in transit.

Excellent product, and great service!
