This Neodymium Disc Magnet (24mm x 3.3mm) is a powerful, mid-sized rare earth magnet designed for applications that require strong holding force without excessive bulk. Made from N35 grade neodymium, it delivers reliable magnetic performance with a balanced combination of strength, size and versatility.
Finished with a premium NiCuNi triple-layer coating (Nickel–Copper–Nickel), this magnet offers excellent durability, corrosion resistance and a clean, polished appearance suitable for both concealed and visible installations.
Key Specifications
Product Code: 20008B
Dimensions: 24mm (Diameter) x 3.3mm (Thickness)
Weight: 11 grams
Magnet Grade: N35
Surface Gauss: 1604 Gauss
Pull Force: 4.81 kg
Magnetisation Direction: Axially magnetised (through the thickness)
Coating: NiCuNi Nickel Plating
Shape: Round Disc
Strength & Performance
With a 4.81kg pull force, this magnet provides exceptional holding capability for its size, making it ideal for medium-duty magnetic tasks. The axial magnetisation ensures consistent strength and secure attachment across flat ferrous surfaces, improving stability and grip.
Common Applications
Light industrial fixtures and assemblies.
Magnetic latches, closures and mounting points.
Electronics, sensors and engineering prototypes.
Retail displays, signage and POS systems.
DIY, craft and workshop organisation.
Educational, scientific and prototyping environments.
The 24mm diameter offers a generous surface area for improved magnetic contact, while the 3.3mm thickness keeps the profile sleek and adaptable. This makes it a popular choice for installers, designers, hobbyists and engineers looking for reliable magnetic strength packaged in a streamlined disc format.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
