Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth disc has a diameter of 12mm and a height of 1mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 10036 Gauss and a pull force of 600 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 20042.

Uses for our small Rare Earth disc magnets:

Flat and unobtrusive, these Neodymium Discs are popular with those who make scaled- down models of trains, dollhouses and both urban and rural landscapes. For these enthusiasts, constructing and deconstructing these scaled-down scenes and the associated objects like cars, tractors, trees, water tanks and outdoor furniture, are held in place securely with magnetisation. When a new configuration is inevitably required, the magnets allow for gentle release, then rearrangement in a new position.

These disc magnets are great for those interested in crafts, hobbies, displays and commercial packaging. As discreet and simple closure tools for packaging of products,  Neodymium disc magnets play a role in keeping packaging companies competitive and ahead of the packaging pack! I unfortunately order the wrong size. That was my fault. The magnets will come in handy for something. Very quick and good quality.

Tiny but strong

These little magnets are great. I have been using them to clip wrap skirts together for windy conditions. Also keep a stack on my fridge and they are strong enough to use as a handle!

I use them for paper crafts very thin, strong hold better holding strength

than some of the other magnets out there . Prompt service and delivery.

Great speedy service

I use them in mini albums, they are nice flat and have great strength to hold my pages together. I use the non adhesive magnets. And a way lot cheaper than others.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
