Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth disc has a diameter of 10mm and a height of 5mm. It has a pull force of 3.7kg. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 20048A.

Uses for our rare earth disc magnets:

This 10mm x 5mm Rare Earth disc has N52 grade magnetisation which is the strongest grade we stock. Useful where extra holding power is required in a small or restricted space and for security and alarm system sensors or switches. Also used in Metal separation and decontamination, water conditioning, electric DC motors and power tools, magnetic pharmaceutical stirrers, metal detectors, tool and knife holders, timber and metal wall stud finders, magnetic healing therapy and brochure and binder closure systems.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

Japanese Coffee cup. U tube

I had to do a bit of research after my grandson sent me a link to u tube. A lot of guesswork and a very good page on magnets. I have a basic working model but need a bit more refining. cheers Bernie

Delivery was quicker than expected. Great product, was super surprised with the quality. instructions were simple to follow and product was a ball ache to use cause damn magnets stuck to everything.
