This slim Neodymium Cylinder is strong N42 Grade for increased power. It is user-friendly and easily handled, stored and manoeuvred. Long, thin rod-shaped magnets like this are mostly employed in light holding duties involving paper or cardboard products, or for artwork or document hanging. The relatively small area of contact, or pole surface, means it is less stable than lower profile Disc shapes, but this makes it easy to dislodge and fast to grasp, remove and relocate. Slim, cylindrical magnets have a narrow and concentrated magnetic field that also makes them highly effective in metal detection roles and in instrumentation and sensor devices where accuracy is extremely important.
