Neodymium Countersunk Ring Magnet – (OD) 18mm x (ID) 10.4/5.5mm x (H) 7mm | N30SH | High Temperature >150°C
Product Code 23016
Pull Force 13.2 kg
Grade N30SH (150°C)
Coating NiCuNi
Magnetisation Direction Axially Magnetised Through Height, North Polarity on Countersunk Face
*Measured against up to 10mm mild steel.

This Neodymium Countersunk Ring Magnet is a compact yet powerful rare earth magnet engineered for high-temperature and heavy-duty mounting applications. Measuring 18mm outer diameter with a 7mm height, this neodymium ring magnet features a precision countersunk centre hole (10.4mm countersink with 5.5mm inner diameter), making it ideal for flush screw mounting in cabinetry, fixtures, displays, machinery, and industrial assemblies. This magnet suits an M5 countersunk screw.

This magnet is identified by product code 23016.

Manufactured from premium N30SH-grade neodymium, this magnet is designed to withstand operating temperatures up to 150°C, making it suitable for environments where standard neodymium magnets may lose strength due to heat exposure. The magnet is axially magnetised, with the north polarity located on the countersunk face, allowing for reliable directional installation in specialised applications.

Finished with a durable triple-layer NiCuNi (Nickel-Copper-Nickel) coating, this countersunk ring magnet offers excellent corrosion resistance along with a polished metallic appearance. Despite its compact size, it delivers an impressive pull force of approximately 13.2kg under ideal conditions when in direct contact with a thick mild steel surface.

Common applications for this high-temperature countersunk neodymium magnet include:

Flush-mounted magnetic fastening systems.

Industrial and engineering projects.

Automotive and high-temperature environments.

Workshop jigs and fixtures.

Signage and display mounting.

Cabinet closures and hidden fixings.

Robotics, automation, and manufacturing systems.

Please note: Pull force ratings are based on ideal conditions and may vary depending on steel thickness, surface finish, mounting orientation, and air gaps. Neodymium magnets are brittle and should be handled carefully to avoid chipping or cracking.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
