Magnetic Product Description:

This rectangular block magnet has a length of 55mm, a width of 25mm and a height of 9 mm. It has a pull force of 24.5 kgs against 5 mm mild steel and a magnetic flux of 2767 with a Nickel coating.

Uses for our powerful rare earth block magnets:

This strong and compact Neodymium Block is able to bond, hold, repel and generally interact with any surface with metal content. These blocks are used to make separation equipment that removes unwanted metal shards from production lines, especially where foodstuffs are involved.Other applications use their attractive qualities to make tool holders, jigs for metal fabrication and devices for non-contact water conditioning.Neodymium material does not resist heat or moisture well in the medium to long-term and is better suited to controlled interior environments or moderated conditions

This is a great all-purpose rectangular magnet which can be used when a considerable amount of force is required eg: engineering, scientific and industrial uses.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

Works like magic

I used these magnets in my research as an experimental psychologist. We ask people to watch small movie clips and measure their reactions. We were able to create some impressive illusions thanks to the strength of the magnets. Much easier, and quicker than manipulating our films post production. Great customer service too.
