Magnetic Product Description:

This block magnet has a length of 50mm, a width of 6mm and a thickness of 6mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 4496 Gauss and a pull force of 7.5 kilos against 3 to 5mm mild steel.  It uses AMF magnet part number 22006BL.

Uses for our Rare Earth Block Magnets:

Made from an alloy of neodymium, iron and boron, these types of permanent magnets are the strongest and most affordable magnets commercially available. They are used in a wide variety of applications including enabling electric motors associated with white goods, power tools and electric vehicles.

They are often used as fastening systems in fabrications. Fabrications like cabinetry, bench tops, shelving and racking assemblies, especially where it is helpful to take apart for regular cleaning in commercial kitchens and cool rooms or sterilising protocols in science laboratories, hospitals and the like.

In commercial retail spaces, trading conditions and display areas vary. Shelving racks and display assemblies fastened with magnetic blocks of sizes and strengths to suit can be reconfigured to suit the new products or trading spaces. Displays of this kind are easy for staff to use, with simple intuitive, ‘quit the grip’ release. For re-engagement, it’s the good the old, ‘click, stick and tick’ routine.

This method of fastening offers retailers plenty of options and presents as a hidden or secret fixing system. A streamlined, clean appearance. The attention should be on the product, not how the shelving is fixed together. Housed in moulded sockets of plastic fabrications of hundreds of thousands of different designs, magnets are leaving traditional fastener like screws and glues in the past. For servicing, cleaning and reconfiguring nothing could be simpler, safer or smarter than the master fasteners. Magnets. As old as the hills, as modern as tomorrow.

The 50mm x 6mm x 6mm Neodymium block is a versatile magnet used by a variety of industries. It can be joined end to end to create a very long magnetic field if required. An example of how this magnet can be used is recessing into a routed groove to hold lids closed.
