Magnetic Product Description:

This rectangular block magnet has a length of 50mm, a width of 25mm and a height of 10mm. It has a pull force of 35.45 kgs against 5 mm mild steel with a Nickel coating. It is identified by AMF Part Number 22005B.

Uses for our powerful rare earth block magnets:

Block magnets instinctively bond and release at a threshold pressure level.This allows them to operate as virtual ‘torque limiters’ or an overload safety device. These magnets have the ability to act as fail-safe mechanisms and are installed to protect machinery from crash stops and jams and so avoid serious damage to equipment or system failure. Once the excessive force event has been averted or addressed, the magnetic instinct is to re-engage to its original position and to continue to intervene in undesirable circumstances.

Neodymium blocks are also compatible with nearly all natural and synthetic material, but especially plastics.

This is a great all-purpose rectangular magnet which can be used when a reasonable amount of force is required. Applications include water purification, commercial door holders and general engineering and industrial uses.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

Compact and tough

Ideal for gold detecting. These rare earth magnets take the hard work out of the equation by just pressing the magnet into the loosely dug area. It picks up all the iron junk. I have mine mounted to my prospecting pick. It's that great I've ordered more for mates.
