Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth block magnet has a length of 12.5mm and a width of 6mm with a 3mm thickness. It has a gauss reading of 3528 and a pull force of 1.7 kg. Identified by part number 22040.

Uses for our rare earth block magnets:

This rectangular shaped Neodymium block is used in sensors, electric motors, printing systems, spectrometry equipment, and is popular with inventors. They are also useful around the home or workshop to hang tools and other implements. Rectangular magnets offer good purchase for easy removal when bonded to metal using the smallest end surface.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

They break VERY easily.

Bought 8, and one is already broken in the first 5 minutes. Do not allow them to join up with any force, as they will break . VERY VERY Brittle.

1x broke in two pieces after a few hours.

These are VERY brittle, they will break VERY VERY easily. 1x is already broken after 30M only. They break when the are attracted to each other, VERY easy.

nice magnets, beautifully made... would have been nice to know where the poles where before purchase, as i actually need them to be in a specific orientation....
