I use them as clasps on my hand-sculpted wearable art brooches and they are perfect to hold the weight of the sculpture, without damaging the wearer's garments.
These are very handy and super useful however if you have a nickel/metal allergy I would not recommend. They burnt my skin so I now hang my badge off my lanyard.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description.
