Magnetic Product Description:

This Ferrite bead (Cylinder) magnet has a diameter of 5mm and a height of 8mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 1789 Gauss and a pull force of 56 grams. There is a 2mm hole through the centre of the 8mm height and it's identified by the AMF magnet part number 69023.

Uses for our ferrite bead cylinder magnets:

These small Ferrite Beads are very versatile and are found in applications ranging from highly sensitive monitoring and measuring equipment to simple handicrafts and novelty items. Due to their height, cylinder shapes increase the volume of ferrite material between the North and South poles and this, in turn, increases magnetic strength. Cylindrical shapes are also ideal for recessing into other materials because they neatly fit into holes drilled with a power tool. The hole through the centre of the bead, or cylinder, allows for a range of attachment methods, from simple hand sewing with thread to sophisticated placement over spindles in sensing devices that permit lateral movement of the magnet so it can interact with magnetic fields or ferrous material. This proximity sensitive movement can initiate processes, activate alarms or warning systems or indicate the end of a manufacturing stage. Ferrite material is inexpensive, lightweight and highly resistant to corrosion and these properties, combined with the cylinder shape, make this magnet durable and reliable over long periods and suitable for a huge range of applications.
