Uses for our Magnafix magnetic tape:

USE THE MATCHING 'A' WITH 'B' TAPES ON OPPOSING SIDES FOR A PERFECT MAGNETIC BOND BETWEEN ANY TWO SURFACES.

Our matching self-adhesive tape system provides a simple, fast method of magnetically bonding two surfaces together. As the opposing magnets attract each other, no metal surface is necessary. Magnafix with strong Tesa adhesive is commonly used to attach glazing and soundproofing to windows or other openings to save energy or maintain consistent ambient indoor temperatures. The specially developed adhesives for the Magnafix range of magnetic tapes provides superior adhesion to acrylics, steel, aluminium and other hard to adhere to surfaces. This self-adhesive tape is 19mm wide and the wider the tape, the stronger the magnetic adhesion between surfaces. Our Magnafix tape magnet with a Tesa 4965 adhesive on one side is ideal for acrylic panels used in advertising units seen in streetside locations. Graphics can be replaced in these units in an instant to reflect a new promotion or campaign.

Great magnetic properties

The magnets work really well but does not stick to painted surface as well as to metal or unpainted wood

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your recent purchase.

We're glad to hear that the magnetic properties are working well for your needs. Painted surfaces can indeed present challenges for adhesion compared to metal or unpainted wood. Paint creates a barrier that can affect the bond strength of the Tesa 4965 adhesive, particularly if the paint has a low surface energy or textured finish. The adhesive performs best on clean, smooth surfaces with good surface energy.

Kind regards,
AMF Magnetics

magnetism not strong enough

Was not strong enough to hold up a whiteboard

AMF Reply: Hi Sally, thank you for your feedback – Magnafix is primarily used for acrylic panels or metal sheets, creating DIY fly and mosquito screens for windows and display systems and light box signage. It's possible your whiteboard is heavier than this product's pull force 50g/cm².

Good Product

Used to secure flyscreen to a steel security door. Magnet is strong enough to hold on to steel easily and glue is sufficient to hold fibreglass flywire. Works well
