This Ferrite Disc Magnet has a diameter of 5mm and a thickness of 3mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 1916 Gauss and a pull force of 90 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 10180.
As with any axially magnetised disc, this small Ferrite Disc can be arranged to bond with another magnet in a North to South pole alignment. They can be secured with Epoxy glue or sit in a plastic housing for correct positioning. Ferrite magnetic material is permanent, has superior resistance to corrosive elements and can tolerate high temperatures of up to 250ºC while maintaining reliable and consistent operation. These qualities can prove invaluable in processing plants and factories where magnets activate valves, gauges and metal detection devices during production.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specific values within that range.
The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
