This steel-capped ferrite disc magnet has a diameter of 22mm and a thickness of 4mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 1994 Gauss and a pull force of 350 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 10040.

Uses for our ferrite disc magnets:

Capped Ferrite Magnets have similar benefits to "Pot" Magnets. The metal cap deflects the magnetic force to one side and so increases the overall pull force. The sturdy cap also provides a clean smooth surface for applying glue or adhesive. Although the cap adds slight cost to the purchase price of this Ferrite Disc magnet, it also adds significant value in terms of concentrated strength, durability and longevity, by protecting the delicate and brittle Ferrite material from collision damage and degradation from abrasive forces. Capped Ferrite Disc magnets are in many applications a cost-effective alternative to the near ten times more expensive Neodymium products.
