This ferrite disc magnet has a diameter of 18mm and a thickness of 5mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 1940 Gauss and a pull force of 500 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 10066.
Our extensive range of Ferrite Disc magnets ensures the right size magnet for your application is available. Ferrite magnets provide low-cost magnetic power as well as the benefits of being lightweight, resistant to corrosion and high in coercivity properties that resist demagnetisation. Although brittle and easily broken from impact damage, Ferrite magnets project a wide field that is ideal for metal detection and retrieval purposes and is not easily matched in this area by the more expensive magnetic materials. By choosing a disc with a thicker or higher height dimension, more magnetic power is projected while also increasing its mechanical strength. Taking these factors into consideration can make these Ferrite discs an extremely cost-effective option in many situations.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
