This ferrite disc magnet has a diameter of 13mm and a thickness of 10mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 1867 Gauss and a pull force of 700 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 10115.
As with any type of magnetic material, increasing the height or thickness of a magnet adds to its volume and this results in more magnetic strength. The 10mm height dimension makes this Ferrite Disc easy to grasp by hand and as a result, is also easily relocated around a metallic surface. As well as offering increased power, thicker ferrite magnets are less prone to cracking or chipping and can be a sensible alternative where resilience and increased mechanical strength is required.
