Beveled edges not suitable
The beveled edges of these magnets reduce the clamping power when used on edge as I some times have to use them in building model aircraft.

This ferrite block magnet has a 25mm length, a 19mm width and a height of 4mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 1964 Gauss and is identified by the AMF magnet part number 12101.
ISOTROPIC (ISO) magnets like these have a non-specified direction of magnetisation. This lack of magnetic concentration weakens their attractive force in favour of a multi-directional polarisation. They do not undergo the final step in the production process which makes most magnets ANISOTROPIC with a defined North/South Pole and are therefore cheaper to produce and buy. Ferrite magnetic material is also very resistant to heat and corrosive elements.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
