This ferrite block magnet is 16mm long, 13mm wide and 4mm thick with a 4mm hole in the centre. With a magnetic flux reading of 1941 Gauss it has a pull force of 38 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 12145.
Ferrite blocks are heat resistant, corrosion resistant and very cost effective when it comes to considering types of permanent magnets. Different sizes and thicknesses are available that can exert enough holding power for a particular application. Positioning this Ferrite Block magnet is made easier by using the centrally located 4mm hole. A pin or screw-like fastener can be used to hold it in place permanently or as needed. A small amount of Epoxy adhesive will provide a more permanent attachment. In some temporary situations, a piece of wire, string or cable-tie may be used so it can be removed or relocated at a later date. Ferrite material is brittle, so careful handling and placement is required to avoid damage like chipping and cracking.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specific values within that range.
The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
