Ferrite Block Magnet - 25.4mm x 10mm x 5mm (L) | Magnetised Through Length
Magnetic Product Description:
This ferrite block magnet has a 10mm length, a 25.4mm width and a height of 5mm. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 12090.
Uses for our ferrite block magnets:
This block has a length measurement of 25.4mm which equates precisely to 1 inch. Unlike most Ferrite blocks, this block is Magnetised through the 10mm x 5mm rectangular surface (or length) This unusual direction of magnetisation is useful in rare applications where a small magnetic surface is needed to attract or repel metallic material or where a concentrated field is required. They're also popular for use in school science projects and to demonstrate magnetic orientation. They are also less expensive and easier to handle than Neodymium magnets.
