Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth disc has a diameter of 5mm and a height of 2mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 3935 Gauss and a pull force of 400g. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 20079B.

Uses for our Rare Earth disc magnets:

The dimensions of this tiny Neodymium magnet make it useful in holding and attaching lightweight items such as paper or cardboard. The round surface area has strong holding capabilities while the low height dimension enables speedy removal by prising the held material outwards to break the bond with metal or magnetic surfaces. The same properties make it stable and not easily dislodged by side pressure or sheer forces. Rare Earth magnets have become important inclusions in the design and function of modern technologies and are found in the equipment used in the Medical, Scientific, Communications and Military fields.

AMF magnets are so cool.

Ordered the magnets for some craftwork for the kids. Never ordered such magnets before. AMF made the whole process so easy, I was really surprised. Order any size and dimension of neodymium and no matter your location it’s posted out. Already planning my next order.

Wall hangings

Without the disc magnets I would not have been able to have my wall flags I treasure so much.

The wide variety of AMF products has allowed me to turn my house into a home.

Having lost everything in the Black Summer bushfire in Mallacoota I had a huge dilemma as to how to fix my many hangings, clocks, barometer and Buddhist Thangkas to the walls and ceilings of the new house.

Enter AMF magnets.

Using EOFY sales I was able to get discounts and free shipping I was able to buy what I needed at a great prices using brilliant products.

Extremely highly recommended.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
