Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth disc has a diameter of 25mm and a height of 3mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 1470 Gauss and a pull force of 4.8 kilos. It is identified by AMF magnet part number 20006.

Uses for our rare earth disc magnets:

Many companies supplying showcases for museums, and libraries, for example, use magnets, including these rare earth disc magnets throughout their work. The displayed objects demand a showcase that is highly secure and the display cases also need to be as visually unobstructed as possible and aesthetically appealing.

Magnets with their invisible and strong pull and repel force, relative to their size, fit the bill. The magnets need to be as versatile and as cost-effective as possible and Neodymium  material provides these qualities. Exhibitions and displays are a popular form of cultural expression and play an important role in social education and appreciation. With the rise of exhibition as a form of popular entertainment, exhibitions now cover every imaginable subject of human interest and often take shape with the help of magnetisation. These magnets are deployed throughout exhibitions to join, conceal, hold, release or repel in discreet and valuable ways in many of the moving and stationary parts of exhibitions.

These magnets are also used in modular 3 Dimensional Product Replicas to enable almost instant assembly and disassembly. This also enables easy transport of the modules to and from the exhibition space.Other Art Spaces using the almost magical qualities of magnets include Theatres, Galleries, Cinemas, Stage Productions and Movie sets.

Awesome fix

Used little magnets to replace side covers on my mates Gold wing Honda. The lugs had broken off and glue not strong enough. Brilliant and quick fix.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
