Magnetic Product Description:

This thin rare earth disc has a diameter of 25mm and a height of 1mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 502 Gauss and a pull force of 1.5 kilos. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 20007B.

Uses for our thin rare earth disc magnets:

Construction companies together with architects and engineers are always looking for tools, equipment or techniques that can save time, money, and energy on construction costs.Construction companies are required by law to guarantee their building against defects for a period of years and magnets like these in various devices and utilised throughout the construction phase have a range of time and cost-saving benefits,

Rectification or repair costs within the guarantee period or a builders warranty period against defects, can bankrupt and has bankrupted, many builders and building companies. While remedial repair work carried out during the construction phase might be frustrating and costly, repairs undertaken after the retail or domestic spaces are occupied by their new owners or tenants, complete with their near new furnishings and artwork, is even more daunting.Fixing items with magnets can be temporary or permanent and they are easily removed and reused Architects and Builders can make provisional arrangements on site before final fittings are signed-off on, allowing premium upgrades or downgrades to finishes as required and averting costly errors.

Galleries, Exhibitions, Trade Show and Conference organisers also make use of these strong but visually discreet magnets. For the fixing of visual works to different surfaces, a  magnet with self-adhesive tape can be invaluable. Small enough not to attract attention, yet strong enough to provide consistent and unerring adhesion, these ultra-thin magnets allow for quick positioning and repositioning of display items or products without surface damage or defacement and allow for quick disassembly when a new venue arises.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
