Disc Magnet Dimensions

Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth disc has a diameter of 20mm and a height of 1mm. It has a pull force of 1.1kg. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 20018B.

Uses for our rare earth disc magnets:

The super thin profile makes this magnet easy to embed inside clothing, hems, jackets and sporting apparel in order to provide a discreet or invisible clasping or fitting system. These slim Rare Earth discs are also used for ferrous metal separation, metal detectors, tool and knife holders, wood and metal wall stud finders, magnetic health therapy, magic tricks, brochure and protective covering closures. The wide surface area creates adequate holding power for the attachment of brackets or equipment to metal surfaces. Epoxy Glue can also be used to attach the magnet to non-metallic surfaces.

Product's Review
    1. Disc N38 Review by Helen

Fast delivery. Work well on my craft projects. (Posted on 5/11/2019)

    2. Quality Magnets worth the Cost Review by Lisa Harrison

We use these magnets in the activity called Geocaching. When you need a magnet, I've found these types are worth the cost of have a quality magnet to keep the geocache in place, out of sight. The magnet seems to outlast the container and when the container is tired I can reuse the magnet. It is the thinness of these magnets that make them perfect for geocaching. (Posted on 19/02/2019)

    3. I bought these for kids to make fridge magnets with fimo.. I broke one when they all jumped back together! Sent them to the kids anyway with strong apologies to the parents, but like the idea that it’s a togetherness project. They arrived safely but why w Review by Belinda white

Great! Want more (Posted on 27/12/2018)

    4. Neodymium Review by Reg Morgan

Thousands of uses for magnets. Especially seeing the variety of shapes. My last purchase was to retain fridge magnets from overseas places, onto the bottom of a yearly calendar. Although these fridge magnets have plastic magnets glued to them, they don't hold through paper then onto a piece of metal. (Posted on 20/11/2018)

    5. These are lovely strong, slim little magnets but very fragile. Review by Pamela

These are lovely strong slim little magnets but are very fragile. Broke another one this time trying to separate them. Perhaps there is another way to transport them?

AMF Reply: Hi Pamela, thank you for your feedback! We recommend separating the magnets by following the steps on the Handling and Separating Guide included with your order, to minimise the chance of any damage to your magnets. Hope this helps with separating them in the future! (Posted on 13/11/2018)

    6. Not fit for my intended use Review by Robyn

These magnets are fine but I intended to use them for fastening brooches and they proved to be too thin. They shatter very easily. Having said this, I purchased some thicker magnets from AMF and they are working brilliantly! It was really down to poor product choice on my behalf, I didn't realise these magnets could shatter. No doubt I will find an appropriate use for the magnets i purchased at some time in the future.

AMF Reply: Hi Robyn, thank you for your review! Yes, Neodymium magnets are brittle by nature but glad to hear you found some suitable for your application! (Posted on 24/05/2018)
