Magnetic Product Description:

This Rare Earth block magnet has a length of 75mm, a width of 12mm and a height of 6mm.¬†This magnet is N45 grade and has two countersunk holes, each with a diameter of 3.4mm to 6.4mm at an angle of 90¬?. Please refer to the diagram for further dimensions. This product has a pull force of 15.04kg and is identified by AMF Part Number 22002C.

Uses for our Rare Earth block magnets:

People love the nature of magnetic engagement. Bond. However, it is the simplicity of breaking magnetic bond that make magnets such useful material.

Once an individual magnet’s pull force, or strength has been exceeded, magnetic bond will release. This characteristic allows designers and tradespeople to choose a magnet as much for its quit threshold as for its pull force. This method has two vital advantages over bolts, rivets, screws and glues. Old fashioned fasteners, or OFF for short.

Magnetic uncoupling could be described as ‘quit the grip’, ‘grab, grin and go’, or ‘intuitive pull force release’. A magnets’ quit the grip threshold allows designers to fashion products that are much easier to clean and service by allowing simple and intuitive coupling and uncoupling. This increases a product or devices amenity and longevity. To re-engage magnetic fastening simply bring, cling and sing, or click, stick and tick.

Products held or suspended with magnetic grab in retail spaces highlight the product’s availability. The secret or hidden fixing adds to the allure of a product, especially luxury goods. This fastening method encourages curiosity, (How does it float like that?), and tactile engagement (sense of touch).

However, it is the fastening relationship between magnets (and magnetic tape), and all the various types of plastic fabrications and materials that has really crowned magnetic bond. Old fashioned fasteners (OFF), penetrative, overcommitted, cannot respond to the new paradigm plastics present. Tomorrow called. Magnets answered.

This countersunk block magnet is ideal for fastening and popular with carpenters, sheet metal fabricators, aluminium and glazing suppliers and fixture supply outlets. A great, general all-purpose magnet.

Powerful and perfect

I bought the small block magnets to make a sled magnet for dragging across the ground to pick up nails and screws etc.

I set the magnets in a block of timber and put a thin piece of plastic over them to make it easier to remove the material it picks up.

These magnets are incredibly powerful for the size and do the job I intended very well.

Great service from these guys... will be visiting the site for more later.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
