This ferrite disc magnet has a diameter of 8mm and a thickness of 5mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 1909 Gauss and a pull force of 230 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 10155.
Magnets can be attached to a surface or item with glue and when arranged with another magnet with opposite polarity, a repeatable and reusable bond can be established without breaching the surfaces involved, and without weakening their structural integrity at any time. These small Ferrite Discs can support lightweight items like decorations, implements, tools or memorabilia in a practical and convenient fashion not easily replicated using other methods of attachment or fasteners. Overloading will cause the bond to break, so increasing the load above the weight bearing threshold is not advisable. For regular or known weights, however, magnetic bond provides a simple, effective and repeatable hold for indefinite periods.

Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description.
