Magnetic Product Description:

This Alnico Shallow Pot Magnet has a diameter of 28.5mm, and a height (or thickness) of 8.75mm. This magnet has a M5 countersunk hole, and a pull force of 5 kilograms. This product is identified by the AMF Magnets part number 47220.

Uses for our Alnico Shallow Pot Magnets:

Alnico shallow pot magnets are used for holding and securing metal components during manufacturing and assembly. The steel capped painted surface (Red) is non-magnetic and the cap deflects the magnetic field to the base for increased holding strength from the relatively low profile disc. A countersunk hole in the magnetic base accommodates an appropriate self-tapping screw for attachment. Due to their low resistance to demagnetisation (low coercivity), Alnico magnets are supplied with a  '' keeper'' or a steel plate that maintains the magnetic flow between the two poles and prevents the magnet losing strength to nearby magnetic or electrical influences.

Because of their tolerance to fluctuating temperature, electrically conductive properties and resistance to corrosion, Alnico magnets are used in highly accurate instrumentation that detects temperature, pressure, flow volumes and electrical current. Some companies specialise in making sensors like temperature gauges, electrical meters,  detectors and sensors. Temperature is a critical measurement for just about everything, especially in relation to machinery operation and food preparation. Specialist Fabricators and Manufacturers that design and produce sensitive measuring instruments employ Alnico pot magnets in a range of clamping, holding, controlling and releasing functions throughout production and as components of the instruments themselves.
